As a vital component of a country's cultural soft power, American think play a significant role in shaping policy through various mechanisms and channels, and their discourse power plays a significant role in policy - making. Since the 21st century, technological competition has emerged as a crucial factor affecting the global economic and social development pattern and competition pattern. American think tanks have increasingly targeted China and significantly influenced the US government's policies on technological containment of China by providing policy recommendations, spreading anti - China views, and connecting with decision - makers. Based on the field theory and taking 6 representative American think tanks as examples, this paper analyzes the ways in which American think tanks construct their discourse power in technological containment of China from multiple dimensions, providing references for Chinese think tanks to enhance their policy discourse power.

As a female Ci poet, Li Qingzhao possesses a unique aesthetic perspective and keen perceptual sensitivity. The perceptual quantification that runs throughout her Ci poetry allows her to overcome the barriers of language, accurately conveying abstract perceptions, and effectively preventing emotions and perceptions from being distorted in the process of transmission. However, most of the existing research has primarily focused on her methods of emotional expression and artistic techniques, with limited exploration of the concept of perceptual quantification. Thus, the paper aims to explore how Li Qingzhao uses linguistic techniques such as quantifiers, degree words, reduplication words, and reference objects to quantify perception, thereby precisely transmitting abstract emotions and perceptions. By analyzing representative works such as Spring in Peach Blossom Land (Wuling Chun), Slow, Slow Song (Sheng Sheng Man), Silk-Washing Stream (Huan Xi Sha), and Song of Wafting Fragrance (Xing Xiang Zi), the paper reveals how Li Qingzhao skillfully uses quantifiers and degree words to transform intangible emotions and perceptions into something tangible. The synesthetic effect of reduplication words amplifies the emotional impact, while the use of referential imagery gives abstract emotions a concrete “measure,” thus breaking through the constraints of language and preventing emotions from being diluted or misunderstood.

Childcare services constitute a crucial component of infant care, and building a high-quality childcare service system has become a national priority in recent years, significantly benefiting people's livelihoods. Chengdu, Sichuan Province, has emphasized the development of childcare services as an essential part of creating an age-friendly and inclusive society, striving to resolve problems such as parents' reluctance, inconvenience, and hesitation to use childcare facilities. Through interviews, participatory observation, and policy literature review in four communities in Chengdu, this study investigates the current situation and identifies pathways for optimizing childcare services for infants aged 0-3. Suggestions are proposed from multiple perspectives and dimensions for different stakeholders to address identified issues. The study concludes that policy support, resource integration, and societal collaboration can effectively improve childcare service quality, contributing towards meeting people's realistic demands for high-quality and universally accessible childcare services.

This paper compares depictions of Zheng Chenggong in Dutch, Japanese, and Chinese popular literature, focusing on plays and opera. Zheng's multifaceted identity and historical events have been reinterpreted by writers from these three countries to explore their proto-national identity. Dutch literature portrays Zheng as a barbaric pagan, Japanese literature emphasizes his Japanese ancestry and loyalty, while Han Chinese revolutionaries depict him as an anti-Qing leader. Zheng's complex character, including his loyalty to the Ming, aggressive invasion of Dutch Taiwan, and mixed military tactics, makes him susceptible to various literary reinterpretations. Authors cherry-pick elements from Zheng's life to fit their own proto-national narratives, resulting in diverse and often contrasting images of him.

This research conducts a thematic analysis of The Everlasting Regret based on Segmented Discourse Representation Theory (SDRT), aiming to uncover its deeper meanings by exploring the text's discourse structure and rhetorical relations. Unlike traditional literary criticism approaches, this study adopts the SDRT framework, with a focus on analyzing the rhetorical relations between Compound Discourse Units (CDUs). The academic debate surrounding the theme of The Everlasting Regret is extensive, with major perspectives including allegorical, romantic, and dual-theme interpretations. Through detailed analysis, this research argues that The Everlasting Regret does not present a dual theme, but rather a single one. Moreover, this theme is not a celebration of love, but rather a subtle and nuanced form of satire. Additionally, the research offers an in-depth examination of key discourse units within the text, revealing that the rhetorical relations among them can be interpreted as Contrast, Result, and Narration. This not only highlights the complexity of discourse coherence and textual structure, but also suggests a potential intrinsic link among these three rhetorical relations.

Focusing on feminist discourses within the structure of the patriarchal gaze, this paper analyzes the ability of female creators in the K-pop industry to dissolve male-dominated visual pleasure by using the K-pop girl group (G)I-DLE and their self-composed song “Nxde” as a case study. By exploring the song’s promotional strategy, arrangement, music video, lyrics, and social reactions, the study uncovers its unique attempt to subvert traditional gender narratives. The promotional strategy and arrangement critique the objectification of women through satirical elements; the music video deconstructs patriarchal society’s traditional perceptions of beauty and desire through aesthetic choices, homage to classic female figures, and innovative camera language. However, society’s response to “Nxde” reveals a contradiction between feminist ideals and commercial realities, and its stage performance and image remain controversial for catering to the male gaze. Research has shown that while female creators like (G)I-DLE have actively challenged patriarchal structures through their artwork, the complete dissolution of the male gaze in a highly commercialized industry like K-pop remains a complex and unfinished topic. However, works like “Nxde” are an important step forward in redefining the image of women in mainstream media and feminist narratives in pop culture.

This paper examines the phenomenon of censorship and manipulation in e-commerce, which seriously damaged the rights and interests of consumers, disrupted fair competition, and posed a major threat to the credibility of the platform and the healthy development of the market. The inadequacy of the current regulatory measures urgently requires the intervention of criminal law. By analyzing the actual harm of examination manipulation and the necessity of criminal law system, this article highlights the theoretical basis of criminal intervention and points out the inconsistency between criminal classification and sentencing standards in judicial practice. On this basis, a comprehensive legal analysis is carried out on the classification of examination of manipulation, the characteristics of cybercrime, multi-dimensional damage to legal interests, and multi-faceted considerations of criminal regulation. The study identified the challenges in the application of relevant illegal acts, including illegal business operation, false advertising and damage to commercial reputation, and explored their limitations. On this basis, this article advocates legislative reform, taking organized examination and manipulation as the object of crime, emphasizing the importance of civil and administrative relief, the importance of platform technology innovation, and the complementary role of criminal law as a last resort. Practical proposals were put forward to improve regulation at the legislative, judicial and social levels, aimed at providing a strong framework for combating censorship manipulation and ensuring fair competition in e-commerce.

With the rapid rise in housing prices in China, young people face increasing financial pressure, especially when it comes to purchasing homes and establishing families. As a result, an increasing number of individuals are choosing to delay or forego marriage altogether. This study investigates the impact of real estate prices on marriage rates, based on provincial panel data in China from 2005 to 2022. By employing various regression models, including log-linear and polynomial regression models, the study analyzes the dynamic relationship between housing prices and marriage rates. Several control variables—such as per capita GDP, divorce rates, birth rates, and education levels—are incorporated to enhance the explanatory power and robustness of the results. Findings show that rising housing prices significantly suppress marriage rates, particularly in economically disadvantaged areas or regions with high price volatility. Specifically, a 1% increase in housing prices is associated with an average 0.36% decrease in the marriage rate. This research not only provides a new perspective on the relationship between housing prices and marriage rates but also serves as an important reference for policymakers. It suggests that government policies on real estate and population should consider the potential impact of housing prices on social structure and marital stability.

Make-up is an indispensable and important component of film images and narratives, and it is also one of the most important criteria for judging the quality of a film, which is important for the unity and harmony of the images and the promotion of the storyline as well as the portrayal of the characters. This study examines the make-up of the character of Lawen in the film “Sheep Without a Shepherd” and analyses some of the ways in which Lawen is styled in the film. Through a combination of literature review and case study, this paper examines the costume and make-up of Lawen, and finds that reasonable costume and make-up have a favourable effect on establishing a three-dimensional character image in the film.

This study employs natural language processing (NLP) methods to explore the impact of China’s "Double Reduction" policy on parent-child relationships and identify key predictive factors. By quantitatively analyzing 1,433 textual data samples, the study applies NLP algorithms, utilizing the Word2Vec pre-trained model and introducing the Dynamic Topic Model (DTM) to examine how parental roles, educational approaches, education policies, and other key factors influence parent-child relationships. The results indicate that: (1) In the initial phase of policy implementation, parents focused more on balancing work and family life, gradually shifting towards emphasizing their children's holistic development and social competence over time. (2) During policy adjustments, parental cognitive changes and responsibility anxiety played an intermediary role in adjusting their roles and interactions with their children—that is, changes in cognition and responsibility anxiety prompted shifts in parental roles. This study not only provides new perspectives and methodological support for research in psychology and education but also offers scientific evidence for optimizing family education environments and policymaking.
