The Impact of Children's Factors and Personal Factors on Remarriage Behaviors of Divorced Women: An Empirical Data Analysis Based on CFPS 2010-2020
This study investigates the influence of children's factors, specifically children's age and gender, as well as personal factors including individual age and income, on the remarriage behaviors of divorced women. Drawing upon the Chinese Family Panel Studies (CFPS) database spanning from 2010 to 2020, administered by the Institute of Social Science Survey (ISSS) at Peking University, the author conducts an empirical analysis. By employing data cleaning and merging techniques, individual heterogeneity biases are controlled. The Logistic Regression Model is utilized as the primary analytical tool. The findings reveal that maternal age exerts a significant positive effect on remarriage behaviors, particularly pronounced in specific years such as 2012, 2014, and 2016. In contrast, children's age generally shows a negative impact, indicating that as children grow older, the likelihood of their mothers remarrying decreases. However, the effects of income and children's gender are found to be relatively limited.

Landscape and Shadow: A Comparison of the View of Nature and Philosophy of Art in the Artworks of Fan Kuan and J. M. W. Turner
In Chinese and Western painting, respectively, there are apparent differences in the representation of the vision of nature and the philosophy of art, even though paintings carry nature as their theme in art history. The extent of these differences can be well understood by comparing works of different artists from diverse cultures. The case selected for analysis in this paper comprises the Chinese Northern Song period painter Fan Kuan and the British Romantic painter J. M. W. Turner. This paper compares and contrasts the two artists regarding their perceptions of nature and aesthetic systems. Various perspectives of nature can be explained by works like Fan Kuan's Travelers Among Mountains and Streams and William Turner's The Blizzard or Snowstorm. This paper uses a qualitative research approach to understand how the two painters depict their understanding of the topic through their creativity. Many of the works painted by Fan Kuan illustrate the Confucianistic notion of 'heaven-men unity', focusing on such aspects of nature as peacefulness and timelessness. On the other hand, Turner in his paintings responds to the relation of the age of romance to the force of light, the force of colours, Turner responds to this power of the age. The study findings reveal that though the two painters had a clear distinction based on their cultural origin, style, and thought on philosophical matters, both the painters had artistic interpretations of the natural world in their use of artistic forms.

Beyond Binary: Gender Capacity in Counseling
Article thumbnail
This paper examines the complex interplay between gender expression, linguistic representation, and therapeutic practice in counseling settings. The paper analyzes how societal influences shape the understanding and articulation of gender concepts. The research highlights the critical distinction between sex and gender in linguistic frameworks, with particular attention to the independent yet interrelated expressions of masculinity and femininity. Through theoretical analysis and empirical observation, the article demonstrates that language serves as a dynamic form of gender expression, continuously modified by sociocultural contexts. Building on these findings, the article proposes a novel theoretical model for counseling practitioners to enhance self-reflection and cultural competency in working with LGBTQ+ clients. This model offers a structured framework for counselors to examine their own gender-related traits and adapt their therapeutic approaches to provide more effective and culturally sensitive support for gender-diverse populations.
