The Improvement Path of the Fair Use System of Barrier Free Film and Television in China
With the growing demand of visually impaired groups for barrier free film services, how to improve the fair use system of barrier free film and television has been widely concerned, but the current improvement path still has shortcomings: First, there are conflicts in the legislative interpretation of "dyslexic", which are mainly reflected in the inconsistency of the concept of "dyslexic" and the scope of "dyslexic". Second, there are doubts about whether the fair use system is applicable to barrier-free film and television works. Third, whether the barrier-free film and television service field can take the lead in trying to introduce the "commercial availability exception" system. This paper analyzes the improvement path of the fair use system of barrier-free film and television in China, and comes to the following conclusions: First, the definition of "dyslexia" should adopt a double-layer definition system of core standards combined with dynamic supplements. Second, clarify the scope of "barrier-free works". Third, the application of the exception of commercial availability should be carefully considered in combination with the phased characteristics of China's social development.

Generative AI and Personality Rights Infringement in China: Mechanisms and Policy Responses
Generative artificial intelligence (AI) has rapidly expanded the use of face swapping, digital avatars, voice cloning and deepfake production in short-form video, virtual livestreaming and online marketing. These applications improve content production efficiency but also create new risks for personality rights, especially where personal images, voices and identity features are reproduced without consent. This paper examines how generative AI infringes personality rights in China through three scenarios: AI face swapping, AI digital humans and platform dissemination. It argues that such infringements differ from traditional cases because they are low-cost, scalable, highly realistic and difficult to trace. Although China's Civil Code and rules on deep synthesis and AI-generated content provide a legal basis for protecting portrait rights, reputation rights, privacy rights and personal information, gaps remain in liability allocation, authorisation boundaries and platform governance. The paper proposes clearer rules for the use of personal characteristics, stronger labelling and algorithmic transparency duties, and more effective platform redress mechanisms.

The Limits of Separating Politics from Morality in The Prince by Machiavelli
This article analyses the limitations of Machiavelli's concepts of separating politics from morality in his book The Prince, with referencing to serval relevant academic literatures. The article argues that Machiavelli's concepts have limitations from three perspectives, which are descriptive rigour, recognition of legitimacy, and justification. Therefore, Machiavelli's concepts in separating politics from morality might not only be helpless in maintaining the existing political order and stability, but also could deeply damage the public belief in legitimacy and intensify potential social conflicts, which could prevent politicians from achieve Machiavelli's expected goal as a "responsible" ruler. This article explains that political actions that violate moral principles might gain some extent of justification to protect clearly defined state and public interests based on certain background context. However, the recognition of exceptions does not mean that society should systematically accept Machiavelli's concept of separating moral principles from politics, because ethical considerations remained important in decision-making during ordinary political context.

UnderstandingAudienceResponsestoCelebrityEndorsementAcrossRegions:AnMDCORandSENAAnalysisofLouisVuittonYouTubeComments
Article thumbnail
Luxury brands are increasingly partnering with celebrities to enhance audience engagement on social media, but audience reactions may vary depending on cultural background. This study analyzes comments on videos posted by Louis Vuitton on YouTube to examine the differing reactions and engagement patterns of audiences in South Korea, India, and the United States regarding collaborations between Louis Vuitton and celebrities. A total of 9005 comments were collected from 24 official videos of Louis Vuitton and analyzed using Machine Driven Classification of Open-ended Responses (MDCOR), which identifies four main themes in comments, and Sentimental and Emotional Network Analysis (SENA), which explains emotional patterns. Although audiences in all three countries generally expressed positive emotions, the way that users express them is dissimilar. Korean audiences use more detailed text, while American and Indian audiences rely more on emojis and shorter emotional responses. These findings show that cross-cultural differences are more evident in the ways that people express themselves and communicate than in the emotions themselves. The study demonstrates how audiences in different countries engage with the collaborations between celebrities and luxury brands on social media, and offers new insights for research on luxury brands, fan culture, and cross-cultural online communication.

Comparison of Forensic Techniques Utilized in Major and Minor Crimes: Biological Evidence Techniques, Fingerprint and Toxicology Analysis
Article thumbnail
Forensic techniques are essential to criminal investigations, offering scientific means to identify suspects and reconstruct crime scenes. Even the same method will have different results given the severity of the crimes. The purpose of this paper is to set up an application standard for the four frequently used forensic techniques in major and minor crimes: DNA profiling, body fluid analysis, fingerprint analysis and toxicological analysis. Based on a review of the previous studies and research activities, the strengths and shortcomings of each method are presented here. Based on the above findings, DNA profiling and body fluid analysis are highly accurate and have strong evidential value, thus being widely used in serious crimes, although they are generally more time-consuming and resource-intensive. Fingerprint analysis is slower and more expensive to conduct than minor crimes investigation, so it is not used for that purpose. Most toxicology tests are for poisoning and drug overdose cases. However, in most minor offences, this kind of analysis is generally not needed as toxic substances are seldom associated with the offensive behavior.

The Internal Logic of Adapting Marxism to the Chinese Context and the Needs of the Times and Constructing China's Independent Knowledge System
There is an internally unified logical relationship between adapting Marxism to the Chinese context and the needs of the times and constructing China's independent knowledge system. This process defines the theoretical substance, value orientation, and methodological foundation of an independent knowledge system at the level of fundamental direction. The history of the Communist Party of China's theoretical innovation reveals the historical logic through which theory develops and knowledge takes shape. Grounding inquiry in the practical questions of Chinese modernization and continuously answering the questions posed by the times constitute the practical driving force for original knowledge construction. Consolidating cultural subjectivity further endows the knowledge system with distinctive national characteristics. Taken together, these dimensions show that the construction of China's independent knowledge system is an organic unity of theoretical self-consciousness, historical initiative, practice-based creation, and cultural confidence. It is also the inevitable outcome of the vivid practice and innovative development of Marxism in China.

On the Natural Wealth Theory of Xi Jinping Thought on Ecological Civilization
The natural wealth theory of Xi Jinping thought on ecological civilization achieves harmony between humanity and nature, comprehensively elaborates on the diverse wealth attributes of lucid waters and lush mountains, and strikes a balance between ecological health and economic prosperity. The natural wealth theory takes "humanity and nature are a community of life" as its logical starting point, and proposes a constellation of innovative perspectives along with corresponding judgments. This theory covers the core idea that natural ecosystems are natural and ecological wealth with inherent natural attributes, as well as social and economic assets with social attributes that yield economic benefits. It embodies the logic of ecological value transformation, which holds that lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets. At the same time, it is oriented towards multiple value goals, including in tune with the natural environment, sustainability, equity, and broad‑based welfare, and thereby breaks through the natural value theory and natural rights theory of Ecocentrism.

Research on the Legal Nature and Protection Path of Portrait Interests of AI-Generated Original Virtual Actors
The portraits of AI-generated original virtual actors are generated by algorithms and data, representing a new type of legal interest in digital property with both commercial value and asset attributes. The images of AI-generated original virtual actors can hardly fully meet the recognition criteria for traditional intellectual property objects such as copyright and patent rights, and should be recognized as objects of data intellectual property rights. Under the current legal framework, a single legal department can hardly form a complete protection path for such interests, facing dilemmas such as difficulties in determining "originality", lack of subject qualification of personality rights, and the passivity and uncertainty of anti-unfair competition protection. While legislation is yet to be improved, optimizing the application of existing norms through methods of legal interpretation is a pragmatic approach. By extensively interpreting the originality rules of copyright law, applying the portrait property protection rules of the Civil Code by analogy, and activating the general clause of the Anti-Unfair Competition Law, a tiered and complementary stepwise protection system can be constructed to provide references for the judicial protection of digital image rights and interests and the compliant development of the industry.

How the Platform-Creator Dyadic Relationship Reconfigures Internet Communication Power in the Boom of Generative AI Visual Media Creation
This article examines the platform-creator dyadic relationship that has taken shape around generative AI visual media. Rather than asking only whether AIGC (Artificial Intelligence Generated Content) lowers the technical threshold of image and video production, it asks how platforms rearrange Internet communication power through infrastructure, algorithms, data capture, and visibility allocation. Drawing on Manuel Castells's theory of communication power, the study develops a three-part account of production power, distribution power, and definitional power in AIGC platforms. The analysis combines theoretical interpretation, public platform cases, and practice-based observation. It argues that AIGC platforms do not simply de-professionalise or decentralise creation. Their low-threshold rhetoric invites ordinary users into visual production, but it also obscures the continuing value of professional expertise. Platform control over models, credits, computing resources, and interfaces then turns creative capacity into a conditionally accessible service. Algorithmic black boxes and traffic recommendation systems further shape how works circulate, are evaluated, and acquire value. AIGC platforms therefore widen entry while re-concentrating key forms of production, distribution, and definitional power. The study offers a cautious framework for creators, platform observers, and scholars of communication power.
