Analysis of the Impact Mechanism of Gender Inequality Perception in Internet Use — Reflection from the Subjective Inequality Dimension
This paper delves into how internet usage impacts the perception of gender inequality. The study background lies in the 20th Party Congress report's emphasis on cyberspace governance and the internet's deep social penetration. The paper notes that the internet has transformed information dissemination and social interaction, and significantly influenced individuals' gender - inequality perception. Notably, in certain online groups like incel (involuntary celibate) groups, the perception and expression of gender inequality are increasingly prominent. Their hostility and prejudice towards women in cyberspace affect both individual gender - equality perception and social order. Through empirical research, this paper uncovers the intricate relationship between internet use and gender - inequality perception. It finds that internet use affects individuals' subjective inequality perception through mechanisms such as enhancing social comparison, influencing fairness perception, shaping attribution processes, and strengthening group identity. Specifically, information exposure disrupts fairness perception, triggering external attributions that, through group identity, solidify into extreme views. This complex interaction mirrors the formation and reconstruction of individuals' cognitive patterns and social beliefs in the modern digital age, amidst vast information and social - structural changes.

Exploration of Cultural Context and Practice in Primary School Music Classroom
Central to this treatise lies an examination of the primary-level music classroom with a focus on delineating its cultural paradigm, extant pedagogical dilemmas, and appropriate didactic methodologies. Traditionality, localized ethos, and artistic expression are hallmarks defining the cultural atmosphere within such classrooms. One discerns that traditional musical forms, theatrical arts, indigenous mores, and ethnogenic art infusions foster in pupils a sense of national belongingness, culture-driven assurance, affection for local heritage, and cultivated aesthetic sophistication. Counterposed by reality is the deficit seen in educators' scholarly repositories concerning musics, alongside a discernible rift betwixt instructional praxis and the textbook-inculcated cultural lore, further compounded by a paucity of expressivity observable amongst learners. Teacherly knowledge gaps stand as formidable barriers obstructing pupil comprehension of curricular content. Similarly, when teaching diverges from cultural context, one observes a diminished capacity among students to revel in musical allurements. Learners’ performance inadequacies can be attributed to factors intrinsic to the pedagogic environment and to personal aptitudes or lack thereof. By augmenting educators’ erudition vis-à-vis musicological subjects, reincorporating textbook-delineated cultural contexts, fostering self-expression among scholars—thus cultivating an affirming ambience while offering refined hermeneutic guidance—they may appreciate and convey musical pieces more fluently. Such contingencies will undoubtedly, both progressive instruction within primary school musicianship facilitate, lifting students' melφυχονομία, enlarging their consciousness surrounding cultural perpetuation, and build scaffolds vital to holistic student endowment.

China's Air Pollution Policy Evolution: Effectiveness, Governance Philosophy and Future Outlook—A Literature Review
China's industrialization and rapid economic growth have led to severe air pollution, with significant impacts on public health and the economy. In response to these challenges, the Chinese government has adopted traditional top-down control policies. Over time, however, these policies have gradually demonstrated a limitation, which has led to a shift in national policy toward a more innovative bottom-up approach. The purpose of this paper is to review the effects and impacts of two important policies, the Air Pollution Prevention and Control Action Plan and the Dual Carbon Goal. By reviewing the relevant key literature, this study seeks to understand the shift from top-down policies to a more balanced governance model and how this will affect the future of air pollution governance in China. The analysis shows that top-down policies are only effective in the initial stages of pollution governance, but their lack of flexibility leads to implementation challenges at the local level. In contrast, bottom-up approaches, such as those used in China's low-carbon pilot cities, hold great promise for addressing region-specific needs and driving sustainable change. The paper concludes that China has developed a balanced approach to air pollution management that combines top-down and bottom-up elements. However, challenges remain, and future policy recommendations include further strengthening local innovation and public participation to achieve long-term improvements in air quality.

On How the Soviet-Finnish War Led Finland to Falls Towards Germany
The Winter War between Soviet Union and Finland, as a pivotal conflict on the eve of the Second World War, not only directly affected Finland's national security and territorial integrity but also had a profound impact on Finland's development trajectory in the post-war period. The Continuation War, as the direct aftermath of the Winter War between Soviet Union and Finland, specifically refers to the conflict that erupted again between Finland and the Soviet Union from 1941 to 1944, with Finland aiming to regain the territories lost during the Winter War. The focus of this paper is how the Soviet-Finnish war led Finland to lean toward Germany. To examine the issue, we unfold our argumentation from nationalistic, geopolitical and economic perspectives under the discourse system of national romanticism and modern geopolitics. From this research, we show that the Soviet-Finnish war on the eve of World War II and the Continuation War in Finland have greatly influenced Finland’s post-war development future, playing an important role in the study of the nation-state in the Nordic region and its national consciousness as well as policies since modern times.

A Systematic Literature Review of the Influence of Remote Learning on Low SES Communities in Developing Countries
Article thumbnail
This systematic literature review examines the impact of online education on low-income families in developing countries. Given the advancement and globalization of educational technology, there is a need and value for more research in this area. Researchers conducted a systematic screening of 252 studies and a subsequent in-depth analysis of the 24 most relevant studies. Findings reveal that while there is a wealth of research exploring how e-learning affects the quantifiable external performance of the low-SES group in developing countries, there is a paucity of research exploring how the low-SES group cognitively and psychologically ingests knowledge through e-learning. Besides, studies conclude that distance learning negatively impacts low-SES groups and attributes it to social factors, with little focus on psychological or mental causes on an individual level. The results of this study provide insight into potential future routes for practice and research on the influences of remote learning on specific populations.

Review on Inhibition Abilities in Bilingualism Through Cognitive Tasks Analysis
Research into the possible influence of bilinguals on cognitive function and brain structure has experienced a significant surge in recent years. For decades, whether mastering a second language has any universal benefits for executive function has been a fiercely debated issue in science. Contradictory results may be attributed to various elements, such as differences in the study population, criteria for defining bilingual abilities, or differences in experimental tasks. This article reviews several literature to investigate the research questions. Some studies focus on executive function (EF), which refers to a set of cognitive processes that regulate thinking and behavior from top to bottom. The normal parts of EF are inhibition, updating, and task shifting. In this article, we reviewed inhibition abilities in bilingualism by analyzing three cognitive tasks, including the Flanker task, Simon task, and the Stroop task, to examine whether there are cognitive advantages in bilinguals. Bilingual ability is related to the performance of various tasks, especially those that evaluate children's executive function. These tasks are typically interpreted as inhibition tests, thus related to the initial explanation that evaluating inhibition plays a key role in distinguishing bilingual and monolingual cognition. The aim of the article is to analyze how bilinguals perform on inhibition through the above cognitive tasks and find that there is insufficient evidence to directly prove that bilingualism has cognitive advantages on inhibition.

How Does Political Affiliation in a State Affect Its Recycling Rate of Common Containers and Packaging Materials
Article thumbnail
This paper uses data from polling in US Swing states to evaluate the correlation between a state’s affiliation towards the Democratic or republican party and how it affects their CCPM recycling rate. Across the board of top CCPM recycling states, 17 of the states are democratic states, with only one being a republican state (being at number 20). On the flip side, out of the 20 lowest recycling states in terms of CCPM, 14 states are strongly Republican, and only 4 states are Democratic. In the top 20, most states generally have high disposal costs, bottle refund bills, and supporting CCPM legislation; however, in the bottom 20, not a single state has any one of these features (with the exception of Wyoming, having a high disposal cost). Through logistical relationship, we derived a causational relationship between a state turning Republican with a decrease in recycling rate and vice versa. Because the recycling rate is generally dictated by all these factors, it appears that once a state adopts republican affiliations, it tends to place less focus on such factors.

Young People Aged 15-25 Use Different Emojis Depending on the Recipient
The study looked at whether 15- to 25-year-olds adjust the way they use emojis depending on who they are communicating with and found that around 68% of respondents do. This adjustment is mainly due to the fear that older people will have difficulty understanding emojis or fear of being misunderstood or offended, indicating that young people have a strong social sensitivity in communication. The study also found that young people prefer to use funny, cute, or exaggerated emojis when communicating with friends while opting for more formal and polite symbols in older or more formal situations, reflecting their understanding of social norms. In addition, research shows that young people use emojis more frequently than older people, while face-to-face communication has declined, with digital channels becoming the primary means of communication. Emoji are not only a tool for emotional expression in modern communication but also an important means of constructing one's identity. While the study revealed valuable insights, there were limitations to the small sample size and self-reported data. Future studies should expand the sample and combine in-depth interviews to enhance the richness of the data. In addition, long-term tracking studies will provide a deeper understanding of long-term trends in emoji usage.
