The Road to Branding in the Digital Age: The Power and Challenges of New Media Influencers
This study aims to provide insights into the impact of new media influencers on brand management in the digital age. With the rise of social media, the role of influencers in guiding consumer decision-making has become increasingly prominent. This paper systematically analyzes the role of new media influencers in arousing consumers' "awareness", "interest", "desire" and "action" and their contribution to the whole brand management process, combining the brand value chain model and the co-branding normalization strategies. By comprehensively analyzing indicators such as the number of observers, the degree of interaction and the quality of content, this study successfully quantified the degree of influence of new media influencers at different stages. It was found that when choosing partners, brands should focus on their fit with the brand's core values, as well as on whether the influencer's audience segment matches the target market. Meanwhile, recommendations are made for choosing authentic and trustworthy influencers and establishing transparent partnerships in order to cope with market saturation and trust crises. In the Future Challenges and Solutions Outlook, in the face of changes in social media algorithms, the paper suggests that brands adopt a multi-channel strategy while emphasizing the importance of establishing clear KPIs and a collaborative framework. Finally, an in-depth analysis of the opportunities and challenges of the co-branding normalization strategies is presented, highlighting the importance of trust building, collaboration costs, consistency and public relations risks. This research provides practical data support and strategic recommendations for brand managers to better address brand management challenges in the digital age.

Research on Algorithmic Gender Bias under the Paradigm of Machine Behavior Studies
In the field of communication studies, machine behavior specifically refers to information dissemination activities involving artificial intelligence technology. As algorithms increasingly become the primary force in information dissemination, their potential gender bias becomes increasingly apparent. This paper, based on three research scopes in machine behavior studies: individual behavior, collective behavior, and human-machine interaction behavior, examines the gender bias exhibited by artificial intelligence entities in algorithms at these three levels. At the individual behavior level, the tendency of algorithm development to simplify features overlooks the diversity present in female society. The inherited data bias and human bias make it difficult to avoid gender discrimination. At the collective behavior level, the creation of opinion leader-type social robots expands the subject of information fog, making the concealed “gender discrimination against women” more covert. The use of large-scale machine armies manipulates search engine results, leading to severe gender bias in search engine outputs. At the hybrid human-machine behavior level, artificial intelligence shapes female images to construct female cognitive thinking. Algorithms acquire human bias during interaction with users, and social robots amplify gender bias issues through mixed human-machine behavior.

On the Scope of Liability for Negligence in Maritime Search and Rescue under the Background of the Amendment to the Maritime Code
In the era of contract-based maritime rescue under the background of amendments to the Maritime Code, disputes arise regarding whether a rescuer who, due to negligence, causes harm to the assisted party should bear tort liability. When a rescuer negligently causes harm to the assisted party during maritime rescue operations, it constitutes concurrent liability for tort and breach of contract. The rescuer should bear the responsibility for compensating the damages. Specifically, in establishing liability, it is essential to adhere to the standards identical to those in the Tort Liability section of the Civil Code. However, in determining the scope of liability, the principle of full compensation should not be strictly applied and can be appropriately relaxed. First, after posing the question, this paper employs a legal normative analysis method to explore the applicable domestic and foreign laws as well as international treaties related to the issue. The current legal system’s stance on the matter is derived from legal norms. Analyzing the rights and obligations relationship between the rescuer and the assisted party from the perspective of balancing interests aims to achieve a new balance of interests between the two parties. Secondly, by comparing the Maritime Code with the Civil Code, the specific differences between the Maritime Code and the Civil Code provisions are identified. Additionally, considering the inherent characteristics of the Maritime Code, an analysis is conducted to differentiate the establishment and scope of liability for negligence-induced maritime rescue. Thirdly, through comparative analysis, it is determined that the rescuer should bear liability for damages resulting from negligent infringement, but the scope of liability can be appropriately limited. Moreover, a comparison between the maritime rescue system and relevant systems is made to clarify the relationship between the maritime rescue system and other relevant systems, providing theoretical support for the amendment of the Maritime Code. Finally, solutions and recommendations are proposed for the issues raised in the context of amendments to the Maritime Code.

Exploring Online Chinese-English Bilingual Content and Language Integrated Learning Classrooms Through Moment Analysis
Bilingual education studies consider the fluid and dynamic linguistic repetoire of teachers and students as helpful resources accomplishing communicative goals in real-life context. This study examines the translanguaging practices of Chinese-English bilingual Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) classrooms in an online environment. Data was collected through partiticpant classroom observation and interviews. Moment analysis is employed to analyze the creativity and costs of translanguaging moments of the stakeholders. The classroom observation demonstrated translanguaging, as a co-constructed communicative tool, was initiated both by the teacher and students as translanguaging agents. Specifically, peer interaction and question answering were two main contexts in which students initiated translanguaging. And the teacher initiated translanguging in three contexts, namely, acamedic content knowledge teaching, classroom feedback and classroom management. Results from interviews with the teacher and students revealed that English proficiency might be the primary factor spurring translanguaging practices. Weaker English proficiency would lead to more active translanguaging praxis. Besides, translanguaging forms might be mediated by socio- and cultural-linguistic factors. English is used to express compliment and approval while Chinese will be employed to offer constructive criticism. Lastly, the costs of translanguaging moments were furthure analyzed. It is concluded that students’ translanguaging in the context of peer discussion lowered their cost of communication. Through code-mixing students’ confidence in solving academic problems is boosted and their engagement in group project is promoted as well. Teacher’s translanguaging lowered teacher’s teaching cost and students’ learning cost whereby the teacher-student confidence was co-constructed in this specific context. Whilst translanguaging pedagogy is endorsed in terms of content knowledge teaching and learning, it remains unclear whether the English proficiency is facilitated. Current research indicates it is important to be critical of translanguaging costs in integrating content and language learning.
